Krka National ParkKrka is the seventh national park in Croatia known for its large number of waterfalls. It is named after the river Krka which is part of the park. The national park is located in central Dalmatia, 90 km away from Split. It covers the area along the river Krka, which springs at the foot of the highest mountain in Croatia, Dinara, and flows through a 75 km long canyon. Its beauty is a natural karst phenomenon, which is recommended to visit in spring and summer because it is in full glory then, and you can refresh yourself in clear water. The Jaruga hydroelectric power plant below the Skradinski Buk (biggest waterfall) is the second oldest hydroelectric power plant in the world and first in Europe. It was built in 1895, just three days after the world’s first hydroelectric plant at Niagara Falls.

SkradinSkradin is a small town in the Šibenik-Knin County of Croatia. It is located near the Krka river and at the entrance to the Krka National Park, 17 km from Šibenik and 100 km from Split.
