These details apply to our Regular Shows (12:00 PM, 3:30 PM, and 7:00 PM). Late Night Sumo Show (10:00 PM) has different inclusions, as described below.
At Kyoto Sumo Club, enjoy sumo history and culture with an authentic sumo-style meal and All-You-Can-Eat & All-You-Can-Drink.
The show begins with a traditional geisha dance, followed by live demonstrations of exercises, techniques, and sumo etiquette. Then, watch a best-of-three match between retired sumo wrestlers.
You can also step into the ring and challenge a wrestler
※Challenger spots are limited; if there are too many applicants, participants will be chosen by lottery

Immerse yourself in the world of sumo wrestling at the Kyoto Sumo Club. Begin with a traditional Japanese dance performed by a geisha in an elegant kimono, setting the tone for the sumo show. Watch live demonstrations of morning exercises, learn classic sumo techniques, and discover the essential do’s and don’ts of sumo wrestling. Then, enjoy a best-of-three match between retired professional sumo wrestlers. Step into the ring and challenge one of the sumo wrestlers. Challenger spots are limited per show. If there are too many applicants, participants will be selected by lottery. Enjoy an all-you-can-eat meal with Chanko-nabe (chicken hot pot), a traditional sumo-style dish. After the show, take home a souvenir gift bag, a perfect memory of your sumo experience.
