Salmon Ponds Heritage Hatchery and GardensPassing through the hop fields of Bushy Park we visit the Salmon Ponds. Se amidst historic surrounds within the original and stunning English parklands, this is the oldest trout hatchery in the Southern Hemisphere (Est 1864). Enjoy a complimentary morning tea, perhaps feed the trout and salmon and visit the museum.

Russell FallsIt's a short and beautiful walk to Tasmania's favourite waterfall. This easy walk will take you through a mixed rainforest, comprising towering Swamp Gums and the tallest flowering plant on Earth. You may even spot a Platypus as you walk beside the gentle creek. When you reach the falls, be in awe of the stunning scene as the water cascades over multiple levels.

Mount Field National Park Visitor CentreSpend a bit of time wandering through the Visitors Centre, located at the entry to the park and the start of the Russell Falls walking track. Explore the Curiosity Room and gift shop before heading out to the picnic facilities where you can enjoy lunch (own expense) before heading off to Bonorong for the afternoon.

Bonorong Wildlife SanctuaryAt Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary, get ready for your up-close encounter with the iconic Tasmanian Devil and other native animals. This is an amazing opportunity to learn more about our unique wildlife and perhaps hand-feed the animals that roam free. A wonderful way to end the day before we head back to Hobart with so many special memories and experiences.
