The approach to the inner shrine of Togakushi Shrine, which is covered with snow, is a masterpiece of 400-year-old cedar trees covered in snow. Observe animal footprints in the tranquil woods, meet giant trees in places that can only be reached during the snowy season, and guides make tables out of the snow and make delicious coffee. You can even walk on a frozen lake!
