Located in the heart of Nara City, the park is surrounded by historic landmarks such as Todai-ji Temple and Kasuga Taisha Shrine, offering a perfect blend of nature and heritage.   • Fushimi Inari Taisha is one of Kyoto’s most iconic Shinto shrines, best known for its thousands of vibrant red torii gates that form scenic pathways up Mount Inari.   • The Sagano Scenic Railway is a charming sightseeing train that runs through the Hozugawa River valley, offering beautiful views of mountains, forests, and seasonal scenery. The recommended route is from Saga to Kameoka (14:05–14:25) or return from Kameoka to Saga (14:30–14:56), with the ride taking about 20–25 minutes. During off-season periods, the tour guide may assist with ticket purchase on-site; however, tickets can sell out quickly. In peak seasons such as spring and autumn, travelers are strongly advised to purchase tickets in advance on their own. Tickets for the Sagano Scenic Railway (Romantic Train) must be purchased separately. During the off-season, the guide may assist with buying tickets on-site, but in peak seasons, travelers are required to purchase tickets in advance on their own, as tickets often sell out quickly.
  • The Sagano Bamboo Forest Path is a famous walking trail in Arashiyama, lined with tall bamboo stalks that create a calm and magical atmosphere. Visitors can enjoy a leisurely walk, take beautiful photos, and experience one of Kyoto’s most iconic natural sights. The path is free to enter, easy to walk, and typically takes about 30–40 minutes to explore at a relaxed pace.
  • The Kimono Forest is a striking art installation located near Arashiyama Station, featuring hundreds of illuminated pillars wrapped in vibrant kimono fabrics. This colorful display creates a beautiful and unique atmosphere, perfect for photos and a short stroll. Visitors usually spend around 20–30 minutes exploring the area and enjoying the artistic patterns, especially in the evening when the pillars are lit up. The total self-guided time for this section is approximately 3 hours, including walking time between attractions. Travel between the Sagano Scenic Railway, Bamboo Forest, and Kimono Forest is done on foot and takes about 10–15 minutes between each spot.
