Catedral de Sao Pedro de AlcantaraDedicated to the patron saint of Brazil, the cathedral of Petrópolis is one of the most important neo-Gothic constructions in the country. Designed at the end of the 19th century, this church stands out for the beauty of its facade and its countless overworked stained glass windows.
- Stop of approximately 25 minutes. Meet “The Encantada”, Santos Dumont’s holiday home, full of details that reflect his creativity and inventive spirit. Among the curiosities are the iconic exterior staircase, which was designed to be climbed starting with the right leg, and the residence's water heating system, a rather advanced solution for the time.
