  • Kongobuji, a testament to filial devotion, was first erected in 1593 by the illustrious Toyotomi Hideyoshi as a memorial to honor the passing of his beloved mother. Over time, this sacred structure harmoniously merged with a neighboring temple, transforming into the preeminent head temple of Shingon Buddhism. This venerable sect, introduced to the Japanese shores by the enlightened Kobo Daishi in 805, finds its spiritual epicenter on the hallowed ground of Koyasan. You can pray or make meditation here, to find your spirit peace. Or booking the meditation live in advance so that you can live here overnight. You also can try the special Buddhism food.
  • Koyasan Danjo Garan
    Nestled within the serene sanctuary of Garan are two architectural marvels that stand as testaments to spiritual heritage: the venerable Kondo Hall and the huge Konpon Daito Pagoda. The Kondo Hall, an imposing wooden temple, serves as the stage for grand ceremonies. This historic edifice, having risen from the ashes multiple times, stands resplendent since its last reconstruction in 1932. It is a sanctuary dedicated to Sakyamuni, the Buddha renowned for his healing and therapeutic prowess. Pray here for luck, enjoy the glory Buddhism history of Koyasan.

    The Koyasan Reihokan Museum stands as a guardian of the rich religious and cultural heritage of Koyasan. The museum’s grand entrance hall, inspired by the iconic  Byodoin Temple in Uji, ushers visitors into a world of ancient splendor, complete with three captivating exhibition spaces that alternate between permanent and temporary displays. Within the museum’s hallowed walls, a treasure trove of thousands of religious relics awaits discovery. The permanent exhibition is a feast for the senses, featuring an array of exquisite statues, intricate mandalas that unfurl like cosmic maps of the universe, and an assortment of sacred tools and paintings.
