It is located in the heart of Istanbul, Turkey, and covers an area of over 30,000 square meters. The Grand Bazaar was first constructed in the 15th century, during the reign of Sultan Mehmed the Conqueror, and has since expanded over the centuries to include over 60 streets and alleys, and more than 4,000 shops. Closed on Sundays.
