The Royal Palace full name in Khmer is the Preah Barom Reacheaveang Chaktomuk Serey Mongkol. our Cambodian monarchs have occupied it since, built in the 1860s.. The palace was constructed between 1866 and 1870, after King Norodom relocated the royal capital from Oudong city.. Silver Pagoda, Located in the south position of the Royal Palace, Silver Pagoda Phnom Penh is the perfect place for those who want to dig into the religion, especially Buddhism. The Museum is home to the world’s finest collection of Khmer sculpture, cultures: housed in a graceful terracotta structure of traditional design, built from 1917 to 1920. the museum display of the ancient sculptures are shoulders and two arms – of an immense bronze reclining Vishnu statue, recovered from the Western Mebon temple near Angkor Wat in 1936. eight-armed Vishnu statue from the 6th century, found at Phnom Da, Harihara, combining the attributes of Shiva and Vishnu, from Prasat Andet, Kompong Thom Province. striking statues of Shiva from the 9th, 10th and 11th centuries; statue of a seated Jayavarman VII (r 1181–1219), his head bowed slightly in a meditative pose (Angkor Thom, late 12th century).
