The Peristyle of Diocletian's PalaceWe’ll start our day with walking tour of Diocletian’s Palace, where I’ll show you how the palace looked 1,700 years ago. Then we’ll enter the cellars to see how it was built. Next, we’ll walk through the southern part where the Emperor lived, visit the Vestibul (the grand welcome hall), and see the Peristyle, the palace’s main square. We’ll also visit all four gates and stop by the statue of Grgur Ninski, Split’s good luck charm. Finally, we’ll wander through the narrow Kala alleys, which will lead us back to our car for the next destination.

Historic City of TrogirAfter Klis Fortress, we’ll continue to Trogir, a beautiful historic town on a small island connected by bridges. We’ll walk through its narrow stone streets, see medieval city walls, and visit the main square with the impressive Cathedral of St. Lawrence. You’ll hear about Trogir’s Greek, Roman, and Venetian history, and have time for lunch and to enjoy the waterfront promenade before heading back to Split.
