Your adventure begins with a departure from your hotel or Mundo Maya Airport, complete with a dedicated vehicle and guide for your group. This experience is tailored specifically for those who prefer to explore at their own pace.

Tikal, the capital of an ancient Maya state, was one of the most powerful kingdoms of its time. Its monumental architecture dates back as far as the 4th century BC. However, Tikal's zenith was during the Classic Period, from 200 to 900 AD. During this era, the city held significant political, economic, and military influence over the Maya region, interacting with areas throughout Mesoamerica such as the grand metropolis of Teotihuacan in the distant Valley of Mexico.

The tour is designed to cover approximately 70% of the site. You'll traverse Mayan trails and causeways, listen to the calls of monkeys and watch birds take flight.

During your exploration, you'll visit several plazas including Complex Q, Complex R, Calzada Maler, Central Acropolis, North Acropolis, Plaza Mayor, Temple I, Temple II, Temple III, Palace of the Windows, Temple IV (the tallest in Tikal at 70 meters), and the Lost World. Your time in Tikal will span roughly four hours.

Following your tour, you'll be treated to a top-notch lunch to replenish your energy before returning to Flores or your hotel.
