Arica and Parinacota RegionWe will begin our tour leaving at approximately 7 AM from our selected hotels in Arica to take the international road to Bolivia, entering the Lluta Valley.

During the ascent we can visit different important landmarks such as the Lluta geoglyphs, the town of Poconchile and its 17th-century church, and the Quebrada de Los Cardones and its impressive cacti with approximately 4 meters high.

We will also visit the Tambo de Zapahuira and the Pukará de Copaquilla, which is a defensive village from the period before the Incas.

PutreAs we approach Lauca National Park we will see Putre and a panoramic view of the snowy volcano.

Parque Nacional LaucaWe will then enter the National Park, where we will see different animals such as guanacos, alpacas, vicuñas, llamas, and vizcachas.

ParinacotaInside the Park we will see the impressive Lake Chungara, at 4500 meters above sea level, where varied birds like giant taguas, ducks and pink flamingos live. Here we can also find the town of Parinacota and its mud houses, where we can see its Church that was built in the seventeenth century and we can also learn more about the beliefs and traditions of the Aymara, inhabitants of these lands.

PutreWe will also pass through the town of Putre, where we will have lunch and then continue exploring the beautiful Andean landscapes. We will be returning to our selected hotels in Arica at approximately 8 PM.
