  • Tea and Uji Town Exchange Center Chazuna is a place where visitors can learn about Kyoto's tea culture and history. By visiting this place, you can learn more about Japanese tea culture.
  • Uji Shrine
    Uji Shrine is a historic shrine with a history of more than 1,700 years and is believed to be beneficial for academic and childbirth success.
  • Ujigami Shrine
    Ujigami Shrine is paired with the neighbouring Uji Shrine, and a spring known as 'Kirihara Water', one of the seven famous waters of Uji, still gushes from the grounds.
  • Asagiri Bridge
    This beautiful bridge over the Uji River is a good place to take photos.
  • Koshoji Temple
    Koushoji is a Zen temple with a history of about 800 years, and the Kotosaka slope from the stone gate to the temple grounds is a beautiful path made of stone walls.
  • Amagase Dam
    A nature trail along the Uji River leads to the wooden Amagase Bridge, where the view of the valley is so tranquil and beautiful that the hustle and bustle of Kyoto is forgotten.
  • By the time you return to the city, visit the Byodoin Phoenix Hall, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, or stop for a cup of tea in one of Uji's unique tea shops, you will have discovered something new about Kyoto!
