"Supporting Slum Artists: Guided Walking Tour"
Overview
Kathputli Colony, located near Shadipur station in west Delhi, was home to around 2800 families of street artists and performers, including magicians, snake charmers, and dancers. This area inspired Salman Rushdie's novel, Midnight's Children.
- 🎭 Tour guides will lead you through the residential streets and modest homes of street performers.
- 🎤 Performers are eager to showcase their talents during your visit.
- 🏚️ The area was demolished in late 2017, leading to homelessness for many residents.
- 🌈 Street Tours supports these talented families by continuing the tradition of showcasing their art.
