After the temple visit, relax and enjoy a traditional Japanese lunch in a beautifully restored old house. The meal includes Nara’s famous kakinoha sushi (sushi wrapped in persimmon leaves) and colorful chirashi sushi made with local ingredients.

You’ll also stop by a cultural restoration center, where craftspeople work to preserve ancient statues, paintings, and more. Throughout the day, your local English-speaking guide will share stories and insights about the area’s culture, history, and traditions.
