Born in the Gobi Desert, raised in a ger district, your host's life traces the arc of modern Mongolia itself. Every street on this walk carries a piece of that story.
We begin at Chinggis Square, walk through neighborhoods most travelers never find, then slow down at the apartment over Mongolian herbal tea and Shagai — a traditional ankle bone game played by Mongolians for centuries. Together we make Tsuivan from scratch — Mongolia's beloved fried noodle dish — rolling the dough, cutting the noodles, cooking it at the stove. Lunch is shared around the family table.
You'll leave with a recipe card, a full stomach, and a genuine sense of Ulaanbaatar as a lived and evolving city.

Meeting point
Meet your host at the base of the Sukhbaatar statue at Chinggis Square (Sükhbaatar Square), central Ulaanbaatar. Your host will be holding a "SEREY TRAVEL" sign and wearing a Serey Travel t-shirt — you won’t miss him. Reachable by bus, taxi or on foot from most central hotels.
Return details
The experience concludes at your host's apartment at approximately 2:30–3:00 PM. Guests can walk back to Chinggis Square along the Peace Avenue in about an hour, take a short taxi ride, or walk to the nearby public bus station where several buses run directly to Chinggis Square.
