Walking tour of Granada and its perfumes
Overview
Each city has a different aroma and each perfume is reminiscent of a city. Get to know Granada in a unique way with this route of the city through seven perfumes related to seven corners of Granada.
Thanks to a selection of natural scents that will transport you to moments, places, and times never experienced before, you'll explore the city of Granada in an unconventional way. Discover how perfume was part of the history and tradition of Al-Andalus, and its origins by visiting the Cármenes del Albaicín, its houses, and gardens. Each perfume has a story: jasmine, a representative flower of the medieval neighborhoods of Granada; orange blossom with orange trees in bloom, a typical tree in the Albayzin. And obviously the queen of flowers: the rose, formerly used as an aphrodisiac and a symbol of carnal passion in many cultures, that is also present in all the Cármenes.
Turn the theory into practice and enter the "Patio de los Perfumes", a beautiful 17th-century palace where you'll be shown the art of making perfumes from ancient times to the present day and Nasrid perfumes in Granada.
Discover the intense oriental notes of the legendary Al-Andalus, learn more about the city and discover how to create your own perfume at the Perfume Museum at the end of the tour.
