Zagori, also called Zagorochoria (The Zagori Villages) is a historical area and a municipality in Epirus, Greece, with an area of some 1,000 km², including 46 villages. Since 2023 the Zagori Cultural Landscape has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

It's a car-accessible village, but very walkable once inside Visit to the Monastery of Agia Paraskevi (15th century): One of the oldest monasteries in Zagori, built right into the cliffside.

From Oxia, you get a sweeping view of Vikos Gorge, which holds the Guinness World Record for being the deepest gorge in proportion to its width. The cliffs drop nearly 1,000 meters into the gorge below. The viewpoint offers uninterrupted vistas of the Aoos River valley, Tymfi mountain range, and the layered limestone folds that make the geology here so striking.
- Vitsa is built amphitheatrically on a slope, offering panoramic views over the gorge and the opposite village of Monodendri. It’s divided into Ano (Upper) and Kato (Lower) Vitsa, with cobblestone paths connecting everything. Traditional Epirus-style mansions, stone walls, slate roofs—it's pure Zagori charm. (pass by)
